A Chinese couple accused of selling her daughter to buy an iPhone

A couple of young Chinese sued for selling his daughter to be able to buy an iPhone, sports shoes and other items.
Two young Chinese parents incur criminal liability for selling their daughter on a website, and used the money to buy an iPhone and shoes of high-end sports and other goods. The case is reported by the Chinese daily Liberation Daily.
The ad placed by the couple asked between 30,000 and 50,000 yuan (between 3600 and 6000 euros) in exchange for the girl, but the exact amount of the transaction was not disclosed. The parents, who already have two children, said the Shanghai police they wanted, through this adoption, give their daughter a better future they could not give him.
This case has generated a lot of comments on the Chinese social networks and condemning modern Chinese society. This is not the first time that such an event occur in China, where a student had also sold a kidney to afford an iPad last year.
