Microsoft wants to bring Office to iPad

The publisher is preparing a full touch version of its office suite. It will be available on Windows 8 devices, but also on iOS.

Does is moving on towards a new war office suites? This is apparently the case, according to The Verge.Yesterday, during an event organized by Gartner, Steve Ballmer announced the arrival of the Office suite on iPad tablets. Until now, the publisher had released a version for the iPhone.
The arrival of Office for iPad is part of a larger project, namely the creation of an Office suite completely touch"for Windows terminals, but also for other types of devices," as was stated by another officer of Microsoft. The iPad version would be an object among others in this new sequel. It is likely to be reserved for subscribers Office 365 , as is the case on the iPhone today.
Spreading the Office suite on iPad is also a response to the recent breakthrough of Apple in this market. In September, the California firm has decided to free its iWork suite with the purchase of any new iOS device 7. iWork includes Pages software (text editor), Keynote (presentations) and Numbers (spreadsheet). Added to this is the availability, since last summer, also a free cloud version iWork. For Microsoft, it will not necessarily be easy to maintain, under these conditions, a paid office suite.
No date, however, has been provided on the availability of Office for iPad.
