Apple recruits its head of distribution in luxury

Business: Angela Ahrendts, currently CEO of the luxury brand Burberry, take the spring of 2014 the management of more than 400 stores as well as online stores of Apple.
Since late 2012, and encouraged the departure of John Browett, Apple no longer had executive manager in the global network of over 400 shops releasing quarterly multi-billion dollar turnover. 
This position is now filled. And to fulfill this function, Apple recruited in the luxury sector hiring Angela Ahrendts , until now CEO of the brand Burberry, specializing in clothing and luxury accessories. 
Bridges between luxury and clothing 
Angela Ahrendts take office, covering stores as well as online sales in spring 2014. It will be named Apple's senior vice president and will report directly to Tim Cook. 
"I've always admired the innovation and impact that products and services from Apple on the lives and hopes of people and I hope in a small way to contribute to the success and leadership the company [...] " says , very polite, Angela Ahrendts. 
This is not the first time Apple hires in the field of luxury and fashion. This summer, Paul Deneve, CEO of Yves Saint Laurent, joined Apple as vice president to work on "special projects".
Note that the network of stores in the United States is headed by former vice-president of distribution for American clothing brand Levi Strauss, Enrique Atienza.
