Steve Jobs: his childhood home was classified as a historical monument
Company: The City of Los Altos, California has classified the house where Steve Jobs grew up and launched Apple with Steve Wozniak adventure.
The home and garage where Steve Jobs and his buddy Steve Wozniak created the first Apple computers is now a historical monument. A decision by the City of Los Altos, California town where grew the Apple cofounder.
"This is also where Apple was founded and where 50 to 100 first Apple computers were assembled, many events that represent a significant contribution to the history and cultural heritage of California and the United States, " said the council in a statement.
Built in 1951, this house belonged to the adoptive parents Steve Jobs is now owned by his sister.The stepmother Jobs still occupies the premises. Henceforth, any proposed renovation or alteration of the house must be approved by the municipality and its Committee on the historical heritage. (Eureka Press)
